Two night festival of destruction hits Abu Dhabi!

The Arabia vs Africa cards have proven hugely popular with fans around the world thanks to the highlight reel knockouts and viral moments provided by the intensity of these intercontinental collisions. The main event features two hugely experienced former champions, deadly Muay Thai specialist Marcel Adur (18-6) who will go to war with arguably the greatest bantamweight in African MMA history, Demarte Pena (14-2).

One of the most dominant 57kg’ers in Africa with victories over several UAE Warriors alumni including Cedric Doyle, Mehdi Saadi and Elias Boudegzdame by virtue of his outstanding submission defence and lightning-quick footwork, the Angolan must now deal with the electrifying striking of Brazil-based Lebanese athlete Adur, who boasts of 13 knockouts in 24 professional bouts but has yet to be put to sleep himself.

The co-main event is a don’t-blink scrap featuring East London’s  electrifying flyweight Muhidin Abubakar (7-1) marking his first return to the Warriors Octagon in over two years, taking on the outstanding Jiu-Jitsu wizard from Johannesburg and former EFC Flyweight Champion, Gift ‘The Day’ Walker (5-1).

The next evening is a thoroughly international affair, with the headline bout at UAE Warriors 54 being a catchweight bout between UAE-based Uzbek special forces soldier, Jakhongir Jumaev (11-4) and Tiger Muay Thai’s undefeated dynamic striker Shakhmar Sadygov (6-0) whilst the co-main slot is occupied by the former title contender from Tokyo, Yamato Fujita (11-5) taking on the imposing Berkut standout Batikan Baysuev (7-3) in what will surely be a fan-friendly firefight.

With 48 combatants in total featured over the two-day bonanza of action which has made UAE Warriors famous around the world, check out these other blog posts which take a look into some of these incredible fights a tad more deeply.
