UFC Vets Tanner Boser and Vinicius Moreira sign for UAE Warriors

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates After ten fights in the UFC, Canadian heavyweight Tanner Boser has inked a bout contract to face Dana White’s Contender Series winner, Vinicius Moreira in the co-main event of UAE Warriors 60 on the 13th of June in Abu Dhabi.

After fighting out the remainder of his UFC contract with a win in late 2023, Canadian standout Tanner ‘The Bulldozer’ Boser (21-10-1 MMA, 5-5 UFC) became a free agent, but remains on UFC Fight Pass with the Middle East’s premier MMA organisation, UAE Warriors. The two-time Unified MMA champ slots into the co-main event against Brazilian submission specialist Vinicius ‘Mamute’ Moreira (14-8 MMA, 0-4 UFC) who has found significant success after being cut following a tough skid in the global leader, during which he lost to notables such as Paul Craig, Eryk Anders and Alonzo Menifield. Last year the Brazilian won two titles in separate regional promotions at both 205lbs and 265lbs. The BJJ black belt is now currently running a four-fight winning streak with only one victory these past six years going past the first round.

Prior to his stint in the UFC, Alberta’s Boser had fought with significant success for a variety of promotions on five separate continents, but was defeated mostly by decisions against promotional stalwarts such as Cyril Gane, Andrei Arlovski and Ilir Latifi once in the UFC. However, thanks to thrilling finishes against Ovince St. Preux, Raphael Pessoa and Phillipe Lins, he rightly remains a fan-favourite of Canadian combat sports. With 11 wins by KO, his heavyweight clash in Abu Dhabi with Moreira whose 12 wins come by way of a wide variety of submissions, is a classic mashup of styles.

The main event capping off two nights of back-to-back events, which also features UAE Warriors: Arabia vs Africa on the preceding evening, is for the interim flyweight title between Brazil’s Victor ‘Sombra’ Nunes (11-5) and Somalia’s Muhidin Abubaker (9-1).

UAE Warriors 59 and 60 are proudly presented by Palms Sports and take place on the 12th and 13th of June, live on UFC Fight Pass from the Space 42 Arena at 7pm Abu Dhabi time (11am ET 8am PT) in the UAE.
