UAE Warriors 55 - Press Conference Tahir Abdullaev vs Khotam Boynazarov

Abu Dhabi got a taste of things to come before Showdown Week, as UAE Warriors held a star-studded press conference ahead of the promotion’s 55th exposition of mixed martial-arts next Tuesday with the main card combatants all in attendance.

That included those competing in the title fight headliner; current welterweight champion, Tahir Abdullaev (17-2) and his challenger, Khotam Boynazarov (9-0) with the latter explaining how hard he’s prepared for the biggest fight of his career and willingness to go all five rounds to take the gold. But the incumbent also laid any concerns about his cardio to rest and assured the world that he will do the rest of his talking in the cage next week. Also present were the women’s strawweight title contenders, Valentina Escobar (6-0) and Jacinta Austin (7-2) with the ‘Juggernaut’ claiming that a recent title victory in her native Australia gave her momentum and preparedness whilst her opponent from Chile promised a great fight in the co-main event.

Much of the media attention was given to returning former champions Tarek Suleiman (12-8) and Bruno Machado (16-9) who face Ole Magnor (8-8) and Eduardo Garagorri (15-3) respectively but the cameras also picked-out former bantamweight champion Vinicius Oliviera (21-3) who is now ripping-up the UFC’s 135lb division. It was left to the General Manager of UAE Warriors and CEO of Palms Sports, Mr Fouad Darwish, to tell the packed-out crowd at the sensational Pixoul venue in Rabdan that not only is UAE Warriors 55 the best card in the promotion’s history but that fans should expect a plethora of title unification bouts in the near future. It was evident at the conclusion of the event, that not only does Palms Sports have massive plans for the biggest combat sports promotion in the Middle East, but that the world can expect an incredible fight night next week to set Abu Dhabi Showdown week on fire!
